Adapting

23 Jun

They say it takes 21 days to break a bad habit. So, in 21 days could we adapt to a new environment, culture, or situation?! We can adapt to other people and our surroundings without really changing ourselves. Just learning the ways of others and why they do the things that they do. When moving to a new environment, most people want to fit in, but why?! Instead of fitting in, why not find people who will accept you for who you are. Sure you may learn different things from them that you may want to incorporate into your own life, but don’t change yourself for acceptance or to please others. Adapting is never easy, but you have to give things a chance to work out. The first few days of a new situation can be hard and uncomfortable, but you may like it after awhile. It’s like trying a new product, test it for 30 days and if you don’t like it, return it. Some people adapt more than others and some situations you may love at first and then wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into. It’s like judging a book by its cover without knowing anything about it. Some things are too good to be true, while others are better than you could of imagined.
